Dubai, UAE – 12 November 2011 – At the Dubai Motorshow, ORZ Performance presents for the first time the High Performance line of Brembo products, as official and exclusive dealer of the Italian brand, for this exciting market.
The full range of high performance Brembo products will be available in the GCC, including high performance brake pads and drilled and slotted discs, Gran Turismo 2-piece discs with large callipers, motorcycle brake systems and racing brake parts for all race cars fitted with Brembo brake systems.
“This is very exciting news for the racing and car enthusiast community in the UAE and GCC,” said Ara Sahakian, Managing Partner of ORZ Performance. “Historically, the focus of tuners in this region has been power and speed. But since the construction of top tracks in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain and Qatar, the importance of braking systems has been highlighted.”

Brembo has a long history of brake system excellence for exotic cars such as Ferrari and Porsche, luxury cars such as Mercedes and Range Rover, a large number of sports cars such as Corvette and Golf GTI, and over 5,000 other vehicles. ”Almost every large red brake calliper you see on exotic or sports cars are made by Brembo,” added Sahakian.
In 1961 Emilio Bombassei established Brembo, a small family-run workshop a few miles from Bergamo, Italy. In 1975, Brembo developed racing braking systems for Enzo Ferrari’s Formula 1 cars, and soon became a market leader, with its braking systems contributing to the winning of hundreds of car and motorcycle championships around the world.
Brembo’s innovation accelerated in the 1980s with the development of an aluminium brake calliper adopted by numerous manufacturers of high performance cars, such as Porsche (still supplied 100% by Brembo), Mercedes, Lancia, BMW, Nissan and Chrysler.
